Delbert Arthur McCanse Jr.

Delbert Arthur McCanse Jr., known universally as "Buzz," was born February 16, 1928 in Metropolis, Elko County, Nevada — the second child of Delbert and Bernice McCanse and the only son among ten children. The family was farming in Nevada when Buzz was born, before eventually settling near North Powder, Oregon. He was raised on a farm and grew up with eight sisters.
