Nicholas Columbus Williams
Nicholas Columbus Williams was born April 15, 1826 in Rowan County, North Carolina — confirmed by both the GEDCOM and the 1882 Gilbert sketch (the latter likely provided by Nicholas himself). His parents were Stephen Williams and Nancy Clemens, both Virginia natives who moved to North Carolina before their marriage.
